Dish Network Rip Off
15 Jan
I have said it before, and I’ll continue to say it again & again…
Dish Network is a scam and completely and ‘cleverly’ dishonest…
Back in November (nearly 2 months ago) I called and dropped our plan from America’s Top 200 to America’s Top 100, intending to save at least $10 a month. Clark and I don’t watch all the channels often enough to justify paying such a high price. Clark received our bill this month and it was $10 MORE than when we down-sized our plan! How does that make sense? Exactly….
We used to pay $49
We downsized our plan to $39
This month’s bill was $59!!!!
How did that work?
Well, evidentially – we were on a ‘discounted plan’ that was ended and upped in December. So “somehow” we only saved $5 by downsizing from a 200 channel plan to 100. Lame.
What’s so frustrating about this company is that when you call for any explanation- they have a rehearsed explanation for it, that for someone who doesn’t know any better – it would make sense. But since we’ve had so many conversations with them – we see right through it.
If we don’t move to TX, we’re switching to cable. When we move to TX, we are NOT going with Dish anymore.
Hopefully they don’t scam us (again) when we cancel by placing a $700+ “lost equipment” fee on our card.
Until my next review… read up on this & this .

I’m still without ABC, so I have to watch my bud Jason on the internet. Though its not quite the same gripe, I agree they suck!
Some parts of TX you don’t need cable others you have to have it just to have anything.
