Never Forget
20 Jul
As the resurrected Savior said to the Nephites, so He might say to us today:
“Blessed are ye because of your faith. And now behold, my joy is full.“And when he had said these words, he wept, and the multitude bare record of it, and he took their little children, one by one, and blessed them, and prayed unto the Father for them” (3 Ne. 17:20–21; emphasis added).
God sent His Son to die for our sins – how do we go about each day to thank Him for that sacrifice?
We can start by never forgetting Him and what He did for us.

The clouds shade the earth
when the sun has too much to say,
the ocean water visits the sand,
filling the spaces where stones have
ran away.
Wind and rain steal the trees’
innocent leaves,
but winter snow consoles their branches.
Parched with thirst
in the middle of an ocean:
A fish without a home,
a bird without wings,
a boat without a lighthouse,
a night without stars,
a rose without thorns…
A fish can’t live
without water to breathe,
just like a bird can’t fly away
without wings.
A boat has no direction
without a lighthouse
to guide it safely home
just like the night needs stars
to lead it back to heaven-
a rose needs thorns
to protect its beauty…
Hands were given to us
to reach out,
mouths were given to us
to ask for help,
feet were given to us
to walk forward,
eyes were given to us
to cry in humility,
a head was given to us
to bow down to our Father…
Mother Nature finds beauty in everything,
God creates it
and brings it back home.
